Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu expected to pitch Trump on more Iran strikes during Mar-a-Lago meeting

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to pitch President Trump on a plan to strike Iran over fears that the regime is rebuilding its ballistic missile capabilities, during a Mar-a-Lago meeting next week, according to a report.
Netanyahu will brief Trump on Israeli officials’ increasing concerns that Tehran is repairing its air defense systems and expanding its missile program, which were destroyed by airstrikes during the 12-Day War with Israel in June, several intelligence sources told NBC News.
The meeting is scheduled for Dec. 29.
The Jewish state also believes the Islamic Republic is reconstituting its nuclear enrichment facilities, including Fordo, which were crippled on June 22 by American B-2 bombers executing Operation Midnight Hammer.
The regime’s suspected buildup will be presented by Netanyahu as a direct threat that could require swift action on the part of the US, NBC News reported.
“The International Atomic Energy Agency and Iranian government corroborated the United States government’s assessment that Operation Midnight Hammer totally obliterated Iran’s nuclear capabilities,” White House spokesperson Anna Kelly said in a statement to the outlet.
“As President Trump has said, if Iran pursued a nuclear weapon, that site would be attacked and would be wiped out before they even got close.
The prime minister’s visit to the US also comes despite New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s campaign promise to arrest Netanyahu for war crimes if he steps foot in the Big Apple.
Brooklyn Councilwoman Inna Vernikov boldly invited Bibi to the city on Jan. 1 — an offer the prime minister turned down.
However, he promised to visit soon in defiance of Mamdani’s previous threats.
