Iranian Weightlifter Mahsa Beheshti Sweeps 6 Gold Medals

Mahsa Beheshti, an Iranian youth and junior weightlifter, captured three gold medals in the 86kg category at the Asian Junior Weightlifting Championships, bringing her total gold medal tally at the tournament to six.

The previous day, Beheshti had won three gold medals across the snatch, clean and jerk, and overall total events in the youth +77kg division.

By securing three additional gold medals in the junior category, she recorded one of the most successful individual performances by the Iranian delegation at the championship.

In the +86kg division, Hosna Amiri added two medals to Iran’s tally, securing a silver medal in the snatch and a bronze medal in the overall total.

Roya Nouri-Nezhad, another Iranian weightlifter competing in the same weight class, earned a bronze medal in the clean and jerk. Collectively, Iran’s representatives in the +86kg category secured one silver and two bronze medals.
